Enabling access and creating equal opportunities to healthcare by eliminating systemic barriers
For many individuals, navigating the healthcare system can feel overwhelming. In Greece, Universal Health Coverage aims to provide access to essential healthcare services for all. However, despite the provision of services, there are significant systemic barriers that prevent people from accessing quality healthcare, including administrative complexities, financial constraints, geographical disparities, language barriers and limited availability of culturally sensitive care. These collectively contribute to a system that perpetuates inequities, leaving underserved populations without the support they need.
Aliro seeks to address this through:
Identifying and tackling the root causes that lead to healthcare access problems
Reinstating individuals who have faced exclusion or disconnection back into the health and welfare systems
Providing personalized guidance in navigating the healthcare system, including support with appointment scheduling, processing medical paperwork and clarifying treatment plans
Coordinating with healthcare providers to facilitate timely access to specialized treatments and procedures
Organizing regular follow-ups for beneficiaries with healthcare providers to monitor their treatment progress and make necessary adjustments
Advocating passionately for every person’s fundamental right to health
